Lee’s advocacy has been met with overwhelming public support, signaling a major shift in healthcare policy.
Lee, during the September 23 House Plenary, highlighted the need for “Radikal, hindi tingi-tingi na suporta sa serbisyong pangkalusugan.” This sentiment has resonated with Filipinos nationwide who demand accessible and affordable healthcare.
With these new commitments, PhilHealth will provide a 50% benefits increase, starting in November, covering essential diagnostics and 80% of cancer and heart treatments by December 2024.
