Cong. Manoy Wilbert “Wise” Lee is spearheading the development of the Agarwood industry with his proposed Agarwood Industry Development Act. This measure is set to unlock significant opportunities in the Philippines by generating up to 30,000 jobs and increasing the income of farmers who can easily be involved in planting, cultivating and harvesting Aquilaria, known locally as “lapnisan”.
“Our countrymen deserve to be given more opportunities to venture into such a high-value industry,” Lee emphasized, noting that the law will help Filipino farmers and contribute to the economy.
