After more than a decade of advocating for accessible healthcare, Lee’s efforts led to a comprehensive plan by the Department of Health (DOH) to reduce out-of-pocket medical expenses for Filipinos, addressing a major healthcare issue faced by millions.
During the deliberation on the 2025 General Appropriations Bill (GAB), Lee explained his affirmative vote and expressed his gratitude for the House Speaker’s support. “Nagpapasalamat tayo sa pamumuno ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez,” Lee stated, highlighting the importance of the National Budget for healthcare.
This victory is not just for Lee but for millions of Filipinos who struggle daily with healthcare costs. “Ito pong ating ipinaglalaban ay hindi po pansarili, ito ay laban ng milyon-milyon nating kababayan,” Lee emphasized.
